Background

Background information The prevalence of high rate of gender-based violence (GBV) directed at women and children to be specific, demands the immediate attention and intervention by men. The GDSDMF has established an online campaign, as one of the tools to be used in the fight against GBV. The online campaign will not only engage men to prevent gender-based violence, it will also exploit the extend helping hand by men to volunteer their individual skills & expertise in the fight against GBV & to create a harmonious living environment, by signing and submitting their personal details on the petition. The required data will only be used for the following specific purpose.. The objectives

• To create a database of men volunteers against GBV
• To create a Men’s movement ambassadors against GBV
• Tangible contribution of men against GBV
• Partnering with groups across all sectors to foster relationships that are healthy, safe, respectful and non-violent
• For men & boys to use this platform to channel their skills & expertise to benefit communities in the fight against social ills
• Assist men to access assistance & channel their energy & expertise in the development of communities
